The Wheeling Police Department is asking for the publics help in apprehending the following person.

18 YEARS OF AGE

 

          Eric L. Bledsoe is wanted on an order revoking his bond, issued out of the Ohio County Circuit Court.  The original case Mr. Bledsoe is on bond for is a May 2007 incident involving a malicious wounding.

ERIC CRAYTON HOMICIDE

          On this date investigators of the Wheeling Police Department have obtained a warrant charging Murder for the following individual in connection with the March 16, 2008 shooting death of Eric Crayton.

          Shawn Brookins was the second person who was treated at the OVMC for a gunshot wound on March 16, and was the person who drove the vehicle to the hospital bringing Eric Crayton ( deceased ) on Sunday March 16, 2008.   

          Shawn Brookins originally provided investigators with details of where and how the shooting took place.  Investigators have determined that these facts that were provided by Brookins were fabricated details of what occurred and  learned that the shooting took place in the 3500 block of Eoff St. Wheeling WV.

          During the late evening hours of March 16, 2008 Shawn Brookins, who was in the OVMC being treated for his injuries, resulting from the shooting left the hospital and it is believed that he has fled the Wheeling area.
